Rachel Alsheikh

I am a museum specialist with a focus in biological collections management, research support, and science communication. I have managed several large-scale curation projects, including expedition collections, endangered species research collections, historical collections, and more. Currently, I'm working on collections from Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and Cambodia. I also preform other Museum duties, including processing accessions and organizing loans. I have done fieldwork in the Sacramento Valley and along Putah Creek. I do educational outreach, as well as run the Museum's social media accounts. I am passionate about natural history and natural history collections. When I have time, I prepare specimens in the lab, too!

I am also the Scientific Project Manager for the Center for Watershed Sciences at UC Davis.
